Adding TV Shows & Movies
Search TMDB and add titles to your collection with one tap.
- Tap "+ Add Show" in the header bar
- Type the title into the search box and tap Search (or hit
Enter) - Tap a result to select it — you’ll see the poster, description, and a form
- Choose Format (DVD / Blu-ray / 4K UHD)
- For TV shows, set the Season number (leave blank for movies)
- Optionally add Notes — e.g. "Gift from Mom", "Box set"
- Tap Add to Collection — done!
💡 Tip: You can also import from Excel! On the Settings page, look for the Import section. Your CSV needs a header row like: Title, Season, Format.
Grid View vs Table View
Two ways to browse your collection. Choose whichever works best.
Grid View (default) — Shows poster art in a gallery layout. Great for browsing visually.
Table View — A spreadsheet-style list with sortable columns. Perfect for the Disc Replay trip — scan titles as you shop.
Toggle between them using the Grid / Table buttons that appear above your collection.

💡 In Table View: Tap a column header to sort by it (Title, Year, Format, etc.). Tap again to reverse the sort. Use the Columns button to show/hide Year, Format, Season, Type, Genres, Notes, and Date Added.

Editing & Removing Shows
Update format, season, notes, or remove a title entirely.
- Tap any show in Grid or Table view to open the detail modal
- You’ll see the poster, title, genres, and notes
- Scroll down to Edit Format, Season, and Notes fields
- Make your changes and tap Save Changes
- To remove a title permanently, tap Remove (you’ll get a confirmation prompt)
⚠️ Warning: Deletion is permanent. On a cloud vault, it syncs immediately. There’s no undo — so tap carefully!
Print List (Disc Replay Mode)
Your go-to for in-store shopping trips. Compact, sorted, printable.
- Tap the Print List button in the header
- A compact, alphabetically sorted list is generated with letter dividers
- Your browser’s print dialog opens — save as PDF or print to paper
- Take it to Disc Replay or any used media store and check prices against what you already own
Pro tip: Use Table View + Format Filter at the store — set filter to "DVD" to see only what you’re shopping for.
Cloud Vaults
Save your collection to the cloud and share it with anyone via a link.
To create a cloud vault:
- Go to Settings > Cloud Vault
- Give your vault a name (e.g. "Dean’s DVDs")
- Set a 6-digit PIN (3 two-digit combos — e.g. 12-34-56)
- Tap Save to Cloud — your entire collection uploads instantly
- Share the generated link with anyone — they’ll need the PIN to view it
To find your vault on another device:
- Tap Find My Cloud Vault on the lock screen, or
- Go to Settings > Find My Vault
- Enter your vault name — it’ll load on any phone or computer
🔗 Sharing: Anyone with the link can view the vault. Only people with the PIN can edit it. Changes save automatically to the cloud.
PIN Lock (Local App Security)
Protect your local collection with a 4-digit PIN.
To set a PIN:
- Go to Settings > PIN Lock
- Enter a 4-digit PIN and tap Save PIN
- Next time you open the site, the lock screen appears
To remove the PIN: Clear the field in Settings and tap Save. The lock screen disappears on your next visit.
💡 Note: PIN lock is for the local device only. Cloud vaults have their own separate 6-digit PIN. You can use different PINs for each!
